ADRION THIRD CALLS FOR PROPOSALS

PRIORITY AXIS 1 AND PRIORITY AXIS 3

On 29 June 2020 the ADRION Monitoring Committee conditionally approved 5 projects out of 13 applications received under the 3rd Calls for Proposals.

The  Third Calls for Proposals on Priority Axis 1 – Innovation (Smart Region) and Priority Axis 3 – Transport (Connected Region) targeted two topics:

  • Topic 1: Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) on Blue Growth
  • Topic 2: Social Innovation

The Call Announcement on Priority Axis targeted:

  • Topic 1: Maritime Transport
  • Topic 2: City Transport

BUDGET

On Priority Axis 1, the indicative financial allocation for each topic is about 3,2 MIL (ERDF + IPA + national co-financing).

On Priority Axis 3, the indicative financial allocation for each topic is about 3,7 MIL (ERDF + IPA + national co-financing).

  • SMART SPECIALIZATION ON BLUE GROWTH

    The overall goal of this topic is to improve the capacities of public actors on innovation policies, strategies and actions in order to promote and support Blue growth through Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3). This form of cooperation among ADRION regions and Partner States will allow public actors to explore whether and to which extent S3 priorities currently being implemented and/or envisaged in national and/or regional contexts differ or complement each other in order to build a new one at transnational/macro-regional level.

  • OBJECTIVES

    • Exploitation of potentials for transnational cooperation to support the implementation of a S3 on Blue growth in the Adriatic Ionian area, focusing on topics/sectors of macro-regional interest;
    • Establishing and/or enhancing linkages to support macro-regional S3 on Blue Growth in the Adriatic Ionian area, with a particular focus on exchange of good practices towards relevant institutions of IPA Partner States.
  • SOCIAL INNOVATION

    The overall goal of this topic is to contribute to the creation of a favourable ecosystem in order to tackle the emerging needs and challenges in the area of social inclusion, fight against poverty, migrants integration into society and labour market, demographic changes and ageing population.

  • OBJECTIVES

    • Development and implementation of innovative social policies and/or tools aiming at the integration of marginalized communities, migrants and disadvantaged groups in the society and in the labour market;
    • Fostering social entrepreneurship through the development of skills and entrepreneurship competences;
    • Enhancing the cooperation among different actors dealing with social services of general interest.
  • MARITIME TRANSPORT

    The overall goal of this topic is aimed at optimizing the efficiency of transport infrastructures of the Adriatic Ionian Seas, in particular with regard to the Mandatory Ship Reporting System in force, the Vessel Traffic Information Management (VTMIS) procedures for harmonization, the inclusion of IPA countries in SafeSeaNet and National Single Windows (NSW) procedures as well as data exchange harmonization.

  • OBJECTIVES

    • The update, integration and simplification of the existing ADRIREP – Adriatic Traffic Reporting system – for the Adriatic Ionian Seas;
    • The improvement and harmonization of the safety and efficiency of the navigation and of the procedures to exchange vessel traffic monitoring information among national VTMIS – Vessel Traffic Management Information system;
    • The definition of joint training programmes for VTM – Vessel Traffic Monitoring – operators;
    • The implementation of the SafeSeaNet2 and National Single Window (NSW) standards and procedures in the IPA countries.
  • CITY TRANSPORT

    Taking advantage from the opportunity offered by the electro-mobility and the shared mobility revolution, the present call for proposals intends to contribute to the creation and testing of integrated innovative planning tools for a sustainable city mobility solution in the Adriatic-Ionian region, forecasting future demand for public city transport due to demographic change. In particular, the topic of the present call focuses on car ownership and individual transport as well as collective transport.

  • OBJECTIVES

    • The development of innovative approaches to improve sustainable clean city mobility systems;
    • The identification of city transport policies better suiting changing mobility needs;
    • The promotion of citizens’ active involvement in the development of sustainable urban mobility plans (SUMPs) in ADRION cities;
    • The transnational cooperation between public authorities and their transport entities to improve multimodal and low carbon mobility and environmental quality.
