Content of the meeting

Under the motto “Together for a cohesive, smart and sustainable Adriatic-Ionian Region” we invite you to an inspiring launch event in Bologna. On 6 th December you will learn about the main features of the new Interreg IPA ADRION Programme and the opportunities to benefit from transnational cooperation.

As you may know, between 2014 and 2020, more than 500 organizations have created closer ties with partners across eight countries based in the Adriatic-Ionian region. The synergies built in the last seven years resulted in 81 transnational projects under the ADRION Programme. The knowledge generated by the projects working on similar development issues has benefitted stakeholders working in a variety of sectors ranging from innovation up to transport and environment.

We are confident that cooperation has improved policies and strategies and more importantly, increased awareness around relevant topics like circular economy, sustainable tourism, green mobility and marine protection.

Now, we are growing up, not only because we are 7 years older, but also we are enlarging our family moving from 8 to 10 partner states. With the new programme, called IPA ADRION, there will be even more opportunities to benefit from transnational cooperation, tackle common challenges and find out joint solutions

Practical information

The Venue

Built over the canal that brings the waters of the Reno into the city, it is located at number 77 of Via Riva Reno. The palace traces its origins back to the first half of the 16th century. Today it is a venue for events and contains works of great artistic relevance.

Please note that you are responsible for booking your own flight. We recommend that you book your flight to Bologna and your bus ticket (Marconi Express) to Bologna Central Train Station as soon as you can.

Palazzo Gnudi – Via Riva Reno, 75/3°-77 – 40100 Bologna

A14 MOTORWAY: BOLOGNA – TANGENZIALE – EXIT 5 – Q.re Lame/Bologna Centro

At the Lame exit continue left towards the city centre. Continue straight towards the centre on Via Marco Polo and then Via Francesco Zanardi until you reach the ring road at Porta Lame.

When you reach Porta Lame square, turn around the gate to the left and immediately after Via Lame turn right onto Via Alberto Menarini (small road running alongside the film library) and reach the APCOA car park Via Azzogardino corner Via del Rondone. 

Continue on foot along Via Azzogardino, cross Via Marconi, continue along Via Riva Reno to the entrance of Palazzo Gnudi, on your right.

From Bologna Central Station you can reach the venue on foot by walking for 12 minutes

Participants from EU countries and countries that are part of the Schengen Agreement do NOT need a Visa in order to travel to Italy.
