FUNDED PROJECTS S.O. 2.2
Short summaries of the 9 funded projects in the framework of the second call for proposals, Specific Objective 2.2.
DINALPCONNECT - Transboundary ecological connectivity of Alps and Dinaric Mountains
865 | DINALPCONNECT | Transboundary ecological connectivity of Alps and Dinaric Mountains |
DINALPCONNECT strives to improve Ecological Connectivity throughout Dinaric Mountains enabling long term protection of biodiversity in view of current and future climatic changes. To achieve this, project partners will establish a network of pilot regions to strengthen transboundary linkages between Natura2000 sites and protected areas where Ecological Connectivity will be explored and consolidated. Joint action plans for improved Ecological Connectivity of transboundary habitats in Pilot regions will be based on guidelines for agricultural and forestry practices protecting biodiversity.

ECOVINEGOALS - Ecological Vineyards Governance Activities for Landscape’s Strategies
SEAVIEWS -Sector Adaptive Virtual Early Warning System for marine pollution
951 | SEAVIEWS | Sector Adaptive Virtual Early Warning System for marine pollution |
SEAVIEWS works to develop an innovative virtual early warning system to prevent and manage marine pollution from various sources (e.g. oil spills, marine litter etc.). The project will design a transnational repository network aiming to receive, store and analyse data about sea water quality from smart sensors based in critical stationary and moving points. Individuals will also be able to post real time observations regarding marine pollution using an application developed by the project. Marine pollution hubs will be set up in order to raise awareness on marine pollution issues and engage civil society in the prevention of marine pollution.
