Sustainable Transport: new Interact publication shows the examples of 3 ADRION funded projects
The Interact publication Interreg makes a difference in sustainable transport focuses on three major areas related to sustainable transport: TEN-T corridors, alternative fuels/modes, multimodal solutions. All topics contribute to boost growth and build connections across regions.
Among others, three ADRION funded projects have been chosen to address these issues in the Adriatic-Ionian region:
- ADRIPASS: aiming to improve maritime hinterland freight connectivity by understanding the main bottlnecks at corridor level and by focusing on improving the efficiency of the existing infrastructure through identification of soft measures and the implementation of small scale ICT investments in selected ports.
- SUPER- LNG: supporting the provision of a uniform framework for the implementation of technical systems on the distribution and supply of LNG in port areas.
- NEWBRAIN: helping unlock the access to national and European financial opportunities for investments on physical and non-physical infrastructures of 9 main logistics nodes of the Adriatic-Ionian area.
The publication shows how Interreg can make a difference through the development of networks among international partners with the ultimate goal to implement common mesaures and solutions for a more sustainable connectivity.
